Guntur: YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has constituted a fact-finding committee to probe into the incidents of violence and clashes occurred in Gurazala, Sattenapalli and Narsaraopet Assembly constituencies in Guntur district on the polling day.

According to district party leaders, the committee will visit the three assembly constituencies and enquire about the role of Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao and his aides, who attacked YSRCP aides and caused violence in those areas.

The committee members will also meet the injured YSRCP sympathisers and assure them of party's support and help. The committee members will speak to them directly and ascertain what happened on that day, and submit a comprehensive report to party chief Jaganmohan Reddy.

YSRCP leader Marri Rajasekhar will lead the fact-finding committee which include Srikrishnadevarayalu, Ambati Rambabu, Kasu Mahesh Reddy, Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy, Janga Krishna Murthy, Mohhamed Iqbal, Mustafa, Amjad Bhasha and Nawaz.

YSRCP candidate for Narasaraopet constituency Dr Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy's hand was fractured in the clash, party candidate for Gurazala, Kasu Mahesh Reddy's car was damaged in the stone pelting incident. Similarly, YSRCP activists were injured in the poll related clashes in the district.
