Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday launched a unique missed call facility for LPG consumers and registration of new connection. The facility was rolled-out in Bhubaneswar.

Indian Oil LPG customers can now give a missed call to 8454955555 for refill booking for all India and the new connection for Bhubaneswar city. The service for registration of LPG connections through missed-call will be available across India shortly.
Mr Pradhan in a tweet said, "LPG is only a missed-call away. Give a missed-call on 8454955555 to book an Indane LPG refill. @IndianOilcl #DigitalIndia #EaseOfBooking."
Talking on the occasion of the launch of the missed call service, the Union Minister described it as an example of the success of Digital India Mission and a step towards ease of living for the citizens. He said, the missed call service for new connection will soon be expanded to the rest of Odisha and subsequently to the entire country.
The Petroleum Minister said that while about 13 crore people were given LPG connection between 1955 and 2014, now it is about to reach 30 crore, representing a quantum jump thereby empowering Indian women. Rolling out the Indian Oil's branded XP 100 to seven more cities including Bhubaneswar, Mr Pradhan said it epitomizes the Prime Minister's vision of Purvoday.
Besides, the Minister also rolled out the second phase of the world-class octane 100 premium grade petrol, under the brand XP 100 at Bhubaneshwar and flagged off the first batch of XP100 from IndianOil's 119-old heritage Digboi Refinery.
Established in 1901, the Digboi Refinery was Asia's first oil refinery and currently among the world's oldest operating refinery.
"India is part of an exclusive club of countries globally where petrol with 100 or higher-Octane number is sold. XP100 has reiterated our commitment to providing better energy solutions to all. XP100 has been developed indigenously and is in line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and our PM's Energy Vision," said Pradhan.
"XP100 is an ultra-modern, ultra-premium product designed to thrill your senses. It is the finest grade of petrol to give your vehicle higher power and performance and give you a delightful drive. The availability of XP100 in Bhubaneshwar is part of our promise to ensure diverse energy solutions in all parts of the country," said the Indian Oil Chairman.
XP100 premium grade petrol is currently available in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Agra, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad.
It is being made available in Bhubaneswar, along with Guwahati, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
