Konidela Shiva Shankara Vara Prasad turned into Konidela Chiranjeevi and then got the nickname, Megastar Chiranjeevi. There is a lot of pain, sweat and hardwork behind all the name, fame. He did not start out as a rich person and never thought he will be one of those biggest influencers ever for a generation.
He worked hard to earn a living, he worked hard to make a name and when the fame touched his door steps, he did not get complacent and made it last for generations to come. Today, we cannot see an household not referencing his name, we cannot see a person who doesn't know his dancing style and we cannot see a person who doesn't respect his hardwork despite their favourites being other actors.
He went to Chennai to earn a living but had the desire to become an actor. All he wanted was people to identify his talent, desire and ability. He joined an acting school, made people notice him with his sheer talent and even though looks wise, he could never try to give someone tough fight, his screen presence and his skill to dance, perform action stunts outshined his looks.
He can perform comedy like no one else, perform sentiment like no one else and dance like anyone and he took Bruce Lee as his inspiration to perform stunts. After showing his style on screen in 63 films prior to Khaidi as an extra, supporting actor, antagonist, second lead and lead actor, he became the star, we remember his as today.
He maintains that simplicity even today. Telugu Cinema saw a brand influencing cinema so much, every hero feels a need to be able to dance like him, perform action like him and have a screen presence like him. Post Khaidi, he did not relax that he could achieve the star status, he worked hard even more to reach the top box office hero status.
He made his strengths speak on-screen so loud that no body can ignore him but take an inspiration and go forward. As one of his famous song's lyrics says, "Charitra lo neeku konni pagelu undali" , he has a chapter on his name in Telugu Cinema book as the biggest star and influence for generations.
