CBSE has postponed the Class X and XII examination scheduled on Wednesday in northeast Delhi.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is rescheduling the board exams on Delhi high court decision. CBSE has postponed the Class X and XII examination scheduled on Wednesday in northeast Delhi. Though, it clarified, the exams will take place as scheduled in other parts.

On Wednesday, Class X English subject and Class XII web application/media for was scheduled at 86 centres in northeast Delhi, which includes government and private schools. The board said the next date of the exam would be notified soon.

The CBSE notice issued read: "Based on the request of Directorate of Education and to avoid inconvenience to students, staff and parents, the board has decided to postpone the exam scheduled for February 26 in northeast Delhi."

Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia also requested the CBSE board to reschedule the examination. In northeast Delhi, the government and private schools will be closed on Wednesday.

Earlier, Justice Rajiv Shakdher had asked CBSE to decide at the earliest and convey it to all concerned, adding that children can't be put at risk. It had then posted the matter for Wednesday morning.
