Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills organised the ‘Academic Proficiency Award’ ceremony on last Saturday in the school premises.

Hyderabad: Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills organised the 'Academic Proficiency Award' ceremony on last Saturday in the school premises. The event is held every year to acknowledge the academic excellence achieved by our brilliant students to recognise the young talents who have made an immense contribution to the school and the society. The programme began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, an invocation song was melodiously rendered by the school choir. It was followed by a beautiful dance performance by Shreya Mishra of class 7.

The chief guest for the day was Reena Dev Burman. Chairman Komaraiah also graced the occasion. The Head Mistress Kiran Khanna warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and proud parents who had taken out their valuable time to be there to motivate thestudents and acknowledge their hard work.

Principal, Sunita Rao, in her address ,congratulated the students .She was of the opinion that the excellence awards are a result of the hard work of not only the students, but the relentless efforts put in by the teachers in motivating them to give their best .She also presented the Girl Child award to Maanya Gadalay and Ishita Gadalay. This award was initiated by our Academic coordinator- T Sudha in memory of her mother and the trophy is presented each year to the all-rounder girl students of classes 1 and 2.

The chief guest, Principal and Head Mistress gave the awards to the deserving students. The DPS scholars, the merit holders, 100 per cent attendance awardees and all –rounders were given badges , trophies and certificates.

The programme ended with the proud students leaving the venue with great smiles and pride in culmination of another successful and fruitful academic session.
