Matching blush on with the tone of your skin is equally important as the right technique to apply blusher on your face. All tones or shades of blusher and all textures are not mend for you complexion or skin type. If your skin is dark you must go for brighter blush, if you have lighter skin tone you should opt for darker blush.

Blush has to be applied when you are finishing your makeup and take this as final stage. Most common techniques to use blush on have been to smile and blush or make pout or fishy face to blush but again I would suggest technique differs here too.

Different shapes of the face determine different ways of applying blush on correctly. However, this may sound tricky but once you are clear about right technique, this becomes simplest.

If you have gone wrong in applying blush the best way to do it away is with translucent powder and dilute it. Brush has to be applied very softly and lightly.

You simply have to apply blush on the apples of cheeks and blend with a blush brush, if you wish to attain dramatic look than you can go for applying foundation and powder blush , apply second powder blush using an angles brush from MAC , if u have to tone it down just brush off with translucent powder.

For round face : To make appearance of your face slim, apply blush in angular motion blending from apples of the cheeks towards the temples. You can opt for cream blush if you have dry skin on fine lines and wrinkles , if your skin is oily than powder blush should be applied, powder blush is good when temperatures soars, and cream blush is best to be used in winters, during monsoon and humid months you can go for waterproof blusher.

For square shape face: with strong jawline apply blusher in a linear motion a few inches from sides of your nose. If you want blush to stay for long start with application of cream blush as a base than top it up with powder blush of same colour.
