Congress and BJP have given priority to vokkaligas and Lingayats. According to the published list, there are 8 Lingayats from BJP and 5 from Congress.
Bengaluru: Congress and BJP have given priority to vokkaligas and Lingayats. According to the published list, there are 8 Lingayats from BJP and 5 from Congress. Two vokkaligas and one from the same sub-caste Bunt community have been allowed in the BJP. Congress has given tickets to 8 people including Reddy and Bunt. There are five OBC candidates in Congress and three in the BJP. Congress has one Muslim and BJP has no minority candidates. BJP has given tickets to two Brahmins and no representation in Congress. Distribution of Congress Caste-Wise Tickets (Except Reserved Constituencies) Lingayats: Mrunal Hebbalkar, Samyukta Patil, Sagar Khandre, Anandaswamy Gaddadevaramath, Prabha Mallikarjuna.
