1 EME centre goes on green drive

Secunderabad: To contribute towards the ongoing drive, to address environmental issues and improve the ecology in the country, a tree plantation campaign was organised at 1 EME Centre, Secunderabad. In the first phase, 300 trees were planted here on Sunday.

The plantation drive was done in collaboration with Mahaveer International, a Hyderabad-based NGO. The 300 trees planted include trees like peepal, neem and silver oak as well as fruit bearing trees such as pomegranate, custard apple and black plum. Brigadier Sandeep Bhalla, Commandant, 1 EME Centre planted a silver oak tree in the presence of a large number of military officers, JCOs, jawans and their families.
