Medchal district BJP president Madhavaram Kantha Rao on Friday expressed solidarity to State party leader D K Aruna’s hunger strike here demanding prohibition.
Indira park: Medchal district BJP president Madhavaram Kantha Rao on Friday expressed solidarity to State party leader D K Aruna's hunger strike here demanding prohibition.
After meeting her, Rao stated that 90 per cent of crimes in the State were being caused due to consumption of liquor. He accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of ignoring his separate Telangana agitation assurance and 'looting people' through indiscriminate liquor sale.
"Lives of many families were getting ruined," he said, because of liquor consumption, and expressing anguish. The BJP leader demanded immediate imposition of prohibition in the State.
