Danger lurks on bad roads sans lights
The pitiable condition of the roads near Girkapally cemetery Ramsinghpura, Karwan, has robbed the sheen of the bonalu festival in their residential areas.
Karwan: The pitiable condition of the roads near Girkapally cemetery Ramsinghpura, Karwan, has robbed the sheen of the bonalu festival in their residential areas. Pedestrians and commuters are forced to travel on the roads filled with craters. With no proper streetlights commuting on the pothole ridden road becomes risky in the night. The locals accuse the GHMC authorities for their sheer negligence of this issue.
A resident told The Hans India, "The roads in this colony are in a very bad condition with full of potholes and ditches. The condition of the road is the same for the past two years and is getting worse by each passing day. During monsoon season, these potholes/ditches get filled with rainwater and pose a threat to commuters. Women, children and senior citizens are the most badly affected since they cannot make out the ditch during monsoon rains."
