The absence of Finance Minister T Harish Rao and others important leaders of TRS in the public meeting of the pink party at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium on Saturday has become the talking point.
Hyderabad: The absence of Finance Minister T Harish Rao and others important leaders of TRS in the public meeting of the pink party at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium on Saturday has become the talking point.
All together three Ministers, including Finance Minister T Harish Rao, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy and Roads and Buildings Minister V Prashanth Reddy were absent at the public meeting. Even though Finance Minister was campaigning for the party candidates in the municipal divisions in Patancheru, he remained absent for the meeting that was attended by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, TRS working president KT Rama Rao and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha.
Meanwhile, the party workers from Subhash Nagar division raised banners protesting the candidature of G Adhilakshmi while the TRS chief was speaking. "You said our rule, our administration, our posts for us and gave the division to non-Telangana people," read the banner. The police personnel removed the banner and also sent the protestors out of the stadium.
Further, the crowd was seen leaving the stadium even before the Chief Minister could complete his speech. The people who came to the meeting started leaving the stadium after 20 minutes into the meeting and by the time the Chief Minister finished his speech, half the crowd was outside the stadium.
