Minister presents grant for Bonalu celebrations
Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the financial assistance given to temples for conduct of Bonalu celebrations was handed over to temples before the commencement of the festival this year, as promised earlier.

On Friday, the Minister distributed cheques worth Rs 85.51 lakh to authorities of 165 temples in the Sanath Nagar constituency, as the state government's financial assistance for the conduct of Bonalu celebrations, at Hanuman temple located on SP road.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the state government had sanctioned Rs 15 crore to about 3,000 temples in the state as financial assistance to conduct Bonalu celebrations. This apart, the government has made elaborate arrangements for the celebrations with the help of various government departments to ensure that devotees face no inconvenience during the celebrations, he said.
Corporators Namana Sheshu Kumari, Athelli Aruna Goud, Kolanu Lakshmi, Akula Rupa, UppalaTaruni, Hemalatha, Deputy Commissioner of Endowment department Ramakrishna, Assistant Commissioners Sharma, Annapurna, EO Mahender and members of various temple committees were present on the occasion.
