Old City to celebrate Bonalu fete on July 28
City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar conducted a review meeting on Tuesday with Lal Darwaza temple committee members at DCP South Zone office in Purani Haveli in view of the Bonalu festival, which would be celebrated on Sunday.

Anjani Kumar, along with, D S Chauhan, Additional CP-Law and Order, Tarun Joshi, Joint CP-Special Branch, Avinash Mohanty, Joint CP- Central Crime Station, Amber Kishore Jha, South Zone DCP, reviewed the security arrangements with the temple committee members on the measures to be taken for successful conduct of Bonalu celebrations at Simhavahini Sri Mahankali temple in Lal Darwaza, Akkanna Madanna temple in Hari Bowli, Charminar temple and other Mahankali temples in Old city.
Thousands of devotees across the State and neighbouring states will visit temples on the day. VIPs like Ministers, MPs and MLAs are also expected to join the festivities. The city police is making unprecedented security arrangements to complete the Bonalu celebrations peacefully.
