Uniform signages for shops at Moazamjahi
The shops at Moazamjahi Market will have numbers and uniform signage, the minarets too will be lit up, according to Principal Secretary (Municipal Administration) Arvind Kumar, who paid a visit to the historic market here on Thursday to take stock of the ongoing restoration works.

He instructed officials that lighting works should not hamper the aesthetic elements and damage the structure. As part of the restoration, the flooring too is being changed and a stone encryption outside the market stating the structure's history and purpose is to come up.
Keeping in tune with the heritage structure, there are plans for setting up furniture at the eateries that would reflect the bygone era. When the issue of the clock needing repairs often was raised, Arvind Kumar said that the clock could be replaced and the existing one repaired. GHMC Zonal Commissioner Musharaff and other officials were also present on the occasion.
