A Houston-based woman has married herself after failing find a partner by the age of 40.
London: A Houston-based woman has married herself after failing find a partner by the age of 40.

Yasmin Eleby had made a pact with herself when she turned 38 that if she did not find the love of her life by the age of 40, she would marry herself, the Mirror reported.
Eleby took it to her Facebook page to say "I really don't have the words to adequately describe the plethora of emotions that I've felt over the past few weeks."
She added that she was overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support that was shown to her during her celebration of love and life.
Eleby walked down the aisle arm in arm her mother in a "spiritual" service, as it is not legal to marry yourself, which was hosted at the Houston Museum of African American Culture and was packed with her friends and family.
She now plans to take an extended honeymoon to Cambodia, Laos, and Dubai later in 2015.
