Rajamahendravaram: NSS wing of Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) has received the Indira Gandhi award for its services rendered to the society.

President of India, Ramnath Kovind presented the award to the university vice-chancellor, Prof Murru Mutyala Naidu and NSS coordinator, Dr N Kiran Chandra at a meeting held at Rashtrapathi Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday.

University teaching and non-teaching staff congratulated the vice-chancellor upon receiving the award.
