The tricolour was hoisted in various government and private offices, establishments and educational institutions in connection with the Republic Day celebrations. Municipal Corporation Commissioner V Vijaya Ramaraju said the Constitution guaranteed equal opportunities to all in the country and it was duty of every one to avail them properly. Urban Superintendent of Police B Raja Kumari opines, “The police should work with honesty to imbibe confidence in people and underlined the need of friendly and visible policing.”
