Effective sanitation mirrors functioning of civic bodies: MLA
Urban MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana has said that effective sanitation reflects the functioning of any civic bodies and underlined the need to give importance to sanitation programmes.
Rajamahendravaram: Urban MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana has said that effective sanitation reflects the functioning of any civic bodies and underlined the need to give importance to sanitation programmes.
Distributing uniforms to sanitation workers in 13th division here on Friday, he said that the Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) was giving top priorityfor sanitation programmes in the city. “During Godavari Maha Pushkarams-2015, the corporation received laurels from the people for maintaining sanitation properly,” he said.
The city's health depended on sanitation workers and advised them to work with commitment and dedication. “The corporation is taking necessary steps for the wellbeing of sanitation workers.” He added that sanitation was also part and parcel of Swatchh Survekshan and asked sanitation workers to work in this regard effectively to get prizes even in this year.
