Complete road works within time: Collector
District Collector and GMC Special Officer Kona Sasidhar directed officials to complete the drain to drain works, footpaths and road widening works taken up in Guntur city within the stipulated time. He inspected works relating to road-widening, underground drainage and central dividers in Guntur city along with the GMC Commissioner, Challa Anuradha on Wednesday.
Guntur: District Collector and GMC Special Officer Kona Sasidhar directed officials to complete the drain to drain works, footpaths and road widening works taken up in Guntur city within the stipulated time. He inspected works relating to road-widening, underground drainage and central dividers in Guntur city along with the GMC Commissioner, Challa Anuradha on Wednesday.
He inspected works at ITC, Amaravati Road, GT Road, Nallacheruvu, Etukur Road, Lalpuram Road and enquired about the progress of the works and instructed the officials concerned to speed up works. He directed them to engage more man power and machinery to complete the works at the earliest.
He instructed them to lay roads where UGD works were completed. He inspected culvert works at Etukur Road and asked the authorities to lay the road as model road. He inspected road-widening works at Lalpuram and UGD works at Amaravati Road. He instructed the officials to shift electrical poles wherever necessary for road-widening. Officials of Public Health department and R&B were present.
