The sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), Cyberabad, and Rajendrangar police jointly busted a drug racket and arrested two private employees and a businessman while they were selling narcotic substance on Friday. One kg of the drug, ephedrine, was recovered from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, they took into custody arrested Srinivasa Rao, 35, an operator at Sunway Pharmaceuticals, from Alwal, Araga Kotireddy, 49, an operator at SPL Chemicals, from Narsapur in Medak, and Triloknath Yadav, 46, a businessman from Kattedan. Srinivasa Rao is a native of Guntur district and Kotireddy belongs to Kurnool district, while Yadav hails from Uttar Pradesh.
On interrogation, the prime accused Srinivasa Rao confessed to selling the drug to potential customers with the help of Yadav and Kotireddy. He claimed that he was procuring the narcotic substance from certain employees of Sunway Pharmaceuticals.
