Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who was once an actress offered her deep condolences to the family members of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao. "Akkineni's death is a great loss to the Telugu film industry," she added. The actress-turned-politician was seen in ANR's Bharya Biddalu.

Earlier in the day, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, DK Aruna announced that the last rites of ANR will be the responsibility of the government. He will be honored with State funeral.
