New Delhi: YS Jagan, the YSR Congress Party President on Friday said that the union government adopted undemocratic ways to bifurcate the state. He said the bifurcation happened in a new but tongue-tied manner which the country has not seen before. He wondered whether we were in democratic India or not. He addressed the media on Friday in New Delhi and made the ibid comments.

He said whenever he heard the word dictator previously, he used to recall Hitler. However, said Jagan that now he thinks of Sonia tantamount to Hitler. He said the bill which was rejected by the state assembly was passed by either house of Parliament. Further, he said in the absence of Seemandhra MPs, the bill was passed by Lok Sabha just within 23 minutes. Further, he said the live telecast was stopped during the process to keep everyone in dark. In Rajya Sabha, said Jagan, the bill was passed without voting process. Jagan said the Prime Minister read out 1 ½ page script and concluded the whole process.

Jagan wondered when and how much amount the centre would give for Seemandhra for its new capital. He said excluding Hyderabad, there will be a deficit of Rs 15,000cr revenue and asked how the same would be compensated. He conjectured what would be the situation after the expiry of special package period. He said without giving comprehensive details, the Centre has behaved recklessly.

He reiterated that out of political interest only, the Centre has been playing a dodgy sport. He said joining together both the ruling and opposition parties have murdered the democracy. Finally, Jagan said TDP with double role has been deceiving the people.

Jagan said he would call on the president on bifurcation issue and also said that he would fight lawfully in the court.
