Vijayawada: In a unexpected turn out of events, two catering service unit staffers pushed their colleague into river Krishna at Tadepalli on the Prakasam Barrage on Thursday. The incident took place at Seethanagaram.
Venkata Subbaiah, Mohan Reddy and Pavan have been working as caterers in a City-based unit. Belonging to the One Town area, they reportedly went to the barrage on Wednesday night. They consumed liquor, following which an argument over financial settlements arose.
Subbaiah and Reddy allegedly pushed Pavan into the barrage. He hit the gates and fell to death. Both accused tried to escape, but were taken into custody.
