Andhra Pradesh TDP president Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao addressing media in Rajahmundry on Sunday Rajahmundry: There are no differences between the coalition partners BJP and TDP, State TDP president Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao said here on Sunday. If any problem arises, TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu and BJP top leaders would sort them out, he said.

He recalled that the Chief Minister has made it clear that the Kapu community will be included in Backward Classes (BCs) on receiving the report from the Commission. Addressing the media in Rajahmundry, Venkata Rao said some unemployed political leaders were trying to hamper the development of the State.

He pointed out that former ministers Botcha Satyanarayana and Dharmana Prasada Rao, who enjoyed power for a decade in Congress government, failed to complete Thotapalli reservoir. He said that these two leaders failed to get Rs 450 crore for the project even though a sum of Rs 90,000 crore was spent on irrigation projects during the Congress rule.

He faulted YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy for opposing the construction of the capital, showing trivial reasons and reminded that farmers gave 33,000 acres of land for the capital with their consent. He maintained that the TDP will see that Kapus and other backward classes were not let down at any cost. From the time of NT Rama Rao, backward classes were given special place in the party like giving 20 per cent reservation in local bodies to BCs.

He mentioned that the government established BC Welfare Corporation and allotted a sum of Rs 100 crore. He said that all the election promises will be fulfilled in a phased manner. In reply to a question, he said that the State government has nothing to do with the bauxite mining as the GO was not issued by the TDP government. He said Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s government gave permission for the bauxite mining in the past.

Kakinada MP Thota Narasimham, ZP Chairperson Namana Rambabu, Rajahmundry urban MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Choudary, Deputy Mayor of Rajahmundry Vasireddy Rambabu, Toorpu Kapu leader Runkani Venkateswara Rao and TDP women wing leader Majji Padmavathi were present on the occasion.
