Andhra Pradesh Additional Director General of Police (Provisioning and Logistics) V S K Kaumudi has been appointed as Inspector General in the National Investigation Agency, a GO issued by the Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday said. Varun Sindhu Kul Kaumudi, a 1986 batch IPS officer, is currently working as Additional DG in AP. 

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Additional Director General of Police (Provisioning and Logistics) V S K Kaumudi has been appointed as Inspector General in the National Investigation Agency, a GO issued by the Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday said. Varun Sindhu Kul Kaumudi, a 1986 batch IPS officer, is currently working as Additional DG in AP.

The then batch topper has served in the Central Bureau of Investigation on deputation and cracked the 1996 fodder scam, in which the then Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Bihar CM Jagannath Mishra and several others were arrested. He also worked as IG in the Economic Offences Wing of Crime Investigation Department in AP and investigated the Satyam Computers scandal and secured the conviction of the prime accused Ramalinga Raju and others.

AP Chief Secretary Satya Prakash Tucker issued an order on Saturday informing that the VSK Kaumudi has been transferred on Central deputation for a period of five years and asked AP DGP J V Ramudu to relieve the officer with immediate effect.
