TVS Motor celebrates Kargil Calling - Ride for Real Stars
Kargil Calling Ride for the Real Stars was organised by TVS Motor company to recognise the courage of the Indian defence forces
Vijayawada: ‘Kargil Calling- Ride for the Real Stars’ was organised by TVS Motor company to recognise the courage of the Indian defence forces.
The ride was part of TVS StaR City+ initiative ‘Stars behind the Stars’ and celebrates the contribution of our defence forces. East MLA Gadde Rammohana Rao participated as chief guest of the programme.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Aniruddha Haldar, vice-president (Marketing) TVS Motor Company said, “We rolled out ‘Kargil Calling – Ride for the Real Stars’ as an initiative to bring to the forefront the unsung heroes of India – the Indian defence forces.
Haldar said that the special Kargil themed TVS StaR City+, which was showcased at the venue, covered prominent landmarks in Vijayawada. The motorcycle features a combination of three colours of the armed forces - Army (Green), Navy (White) and Air Force (Blue).
He said that the campaign invited entries from across the nation to ride together, regardless of the vehicle they own, with the sole purpose of expressing gratitude for the Indian defence forces who facilitate our freedom, comfort and safety, said Haldar.
