Bhimavaram: District Superintendent of Police (DSP) T Prabhakar Babu has said that women should be bold and should not be afraid of situations as there are strict laws to protect them.
The DSP participated as the chief guest at a programme organised by SRKR engineering college for the students of first year on the college premises on Tuesday.
Addressing the gathering, he said that students should not waste their time on internet, facebook, WhatsApp and other social media. He said that all the students should move forward with a goal in life and struggle hard to achieve it.
He said that stern action will be taken on students who resort to eve-teasing outside the campus and at bus stops.
He also said that while driving vehicles they should have a valid license and said that students should keep in mind that many changes have taken place in law when compared to the past, he added.
Two-town Circle Inspector Chandrashekar, PD Satyanarayana Raju, DVR Mohan, Prof Varma, JVN Raju and others were present.
