Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was striving for all-round development of the state and welfare of the people, said Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivas Rao during ‘Thank you CM’ programme at VUDA Children’s Arena here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that though the state government was facing financial crunch, the Chief Minister announced wage hike for Home Guards from Rs 4000 to Rs 6000, Anganwadi teachers from Rs 7,500 to Rs 10,000 and from Rs 4,500 to Rs 6,000 for helpers.

He also opined that welfare programmes, which were being implemented by the Chief Minister, would help him to retain power in the ensuing elections. Chandrababu Naidu is the only leader, who is striving for the welfare of people belonging to all walks of life, by introducing various welfare schemes.

He reminded that when Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated people went into depression in the state but Chandrababu Naidu led the state towards development which was in deficit budget.

Families of Home Guards and Anganwadi employees participated in the programme to convey their thanks to the Chief Minister by holding ‘Thank you CM’ placards on the occasion
