Tirupati: Maharishi Valmiki birth anniversary celebrations were organised on a grand note here on Wednesday. Chittoor MP N Sivaprasad, District Collector PS Pradyumna, MLA Suguna, TUDA Chairman Narasimha Yadav and others participated in the celebrations.
Addressing the members of the Valmiki community, the Collector assured of providing Rs 10,000 income every month for each poor family in the district. He stated that a survey will be conducted to identify the poor families, who were not earning enough income for their livelihood. MP also spoke. Earlier, the Collector and people’s representatives have garlanded the portrait of Valmiki.
