Visakhapatnam: The Vigilance Awareness Week programme started at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) Visakh Refinery here on Monday with the theme as “Eradicate Corruption – Build a New India”. On the first day, Executive Director, HPCL–Visakh Refinery A S V Ramanan, has administered pledge in Hindi and B Balagangadharam, Chief General Manager (Technical) in English to all the employees.

Messages on the occasion given by President of India, Vice-President of India, Union Minister of State, Central Vigilance Commission and Chairman and Managing Director of HPCL were read out by CGM-Operations V Ratan Raj, CGM–Minor Projects Y Sriramulu, CGM-Finance N Ramachandran, CGM-Materials G Rama, CGM-Projects G U Narasimhulu respectively.

P Vijay Kumar, DGM-Vigilance and V Suresh Babu, Chief Manager-Vigilance have explained various programmes being taken up to mark the occasion including quiz, elocution, crossword, essay and slogan competitions, contractors meet, rally and Online Integrity Pledge being organised by Visakh Refinery as a part of Vigilance Awareness Week-201.
