Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee chief N Raghuveera Reddy said on Tuesday there is massive response to the Pratyeka Hoda Bharosa Yatra conducted by the Congress party in the State.

He said the Yatra reached Vijayawada on the eighth day and thousands of people greeted the Congress leaders during the Yatra. Raghuveera spoke to the media at Andhra Ratna Bhavan on Tuesday. He once again assured the people of Andhra Pradesh that the State would get Special Category Status (SCS) if the Congress is voted to power in Lok Sabha elections.

He said the people of the country are eagerly waiting for the victory of Congress party and to see Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister. He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi failed to create two crore jobs every year as he had promised and farmers, businessmen and other sections in the country were facing many problems due to the misrule of the BJP-led NDA government.

He said the implementation of the loan waiver scheme for the benefit of the farmers in the country will be possible only with the victory of the Congress party. Former Union Minister Pallam Raju pointed out that Pratyeka Hoda Bharosa Yatra began on February 19 and would cover all districts in the State.

He alleged that the BJP government at the Centre was involved in the Rafale jet planes scam and it has been hiding the facts related to the deal. AICC spokesperson and actor-turned-politician Khushboo said Modi did nothing for the development of the country in the last five years. She appealed to the people to defeat the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre. The Congress party conducted Bharosa Yatra in different parts of the city.
