Vijayawada: Municipal Commissioner M Rama Rao suspended two more officials of the corporation for failure to perform duties properly on Thursday. The two suspensions were in addition to suspension of two officials on Wednesday.
The civic chief during his inspection of sanitation in the city on Thursday found some improper works and expressed his anger over the same.
The Commissioner also ordered the Chief Medical Officer to issue a charge memo to a health officer and a senior medical officer for their failure to keep their assigned areas clean.
He inspected sanitation in Krishna Lanka and Ranigari Thota areas. He found the side drainage overflowing causing inconvenience to local people. He asked the concerned sanitary inspector for an explanation.
Later, he inspected 16thdivision and found that the roads were not cleaned by the sanitary workers even after 7:30 am in the morning. He questioned the sanitary workers regarding the delay in doing their work.
Chief Medical officer Dr K Arjun Rao, Senior Medical officer Iqbal Hussain and other staff accompanied him.
