Mahindra & Mahindra expands automotive manufacturing unit in Telangana

Mahindra & Mahindra’s auto division has announced the extended automotive manufacturing facility inauguration in Zaheerabad, Telangana. Inaugurated by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the plant facility worth Rs 250-crore will be used to manufacture Mahindra's new commercial vehicle - P601, scheduled to be launched in the first half of the fiscal, said M&M Executive Director Pawan Goenka.

He added that the automotive plant is installed with a capacity of 92,000 vehicles per annum that can go higher to meet additional supply and the current production capacity is 75,000 vehicles per annum.

Including four-wheel load, passenger vehicles, UVs, LCVs and three-wheelers, the plant will be manufacturing sub-one tonne commercial vehicles.

The plant will manufacture sub-one tonne commercial vehicles including four-wheel load and passenger vehicles, UVs, LCVs and three-wheelers. Mahindra & Mahindra has established five automotive manufacturing plants in Chakan, Mumbai, Nashik, Haridwar and Igatpuri besides Zaheerabad.
