Tirupati: Despite the fact that the government employees are on indefinite strike, they are prepared to attend the Independence Day Celebrations on Thursday. Speaking to The Hans India, the APNGO Chittoor District’s president Krishnama Naidu said that they would attend these celebrations during the morning hours at their respective departments though they were on indefinite strike. As this was a national festival, it was their duty to respect their motherland and they would participate in these celebrations while boycotting their official duties, he added.
He had received specific instructions from their State leaders regarding this issue and detailed clarification to participate in the Independence Day Celebrations irrespective of the indefinite strike, he said.
