Rajini's threat to Mahesh's 1 Nenokkadine

Rajinikanth, the real superstar of Indian cinema is looking forward to the release of his upcoming film Kochadaiyaan. The film makers have decided to hold the audio launch function of the film on December 12, which happens to be Rajinikanth's birthday. The latest reports doing the rounds suggest that Rajini's movie will hit the screens on Sankranthi.

It's a known fact that Pongal is a big festival not just for the Telugu community but for the Tamils as well. So a big release will be a fitting tribute to the Thalaiva who will be seen on the big screen after a long time.

But there's a hitch. If this happens, the Telugu version of the movie too will be released on the same day. The problem is there's a line up of Telugu movies waiting to hit screens around the same time. Even the much waited Mahesh Babu's 1 Nenokkadine and Ram Charan's Yevadu is slated to have a Sankranthi release.

If Rajini's film releases around that time, then think of what will happen to the collections? The best option would be to postpone their release. But are the film-makers willing to do that?
