What’s this trailer ka chakkar?, ‘Race Gurram, ‘Race Gurram Trailer Release. The Stylish Star’s fans too loved the trailer. “It isn’t like a regular trailer, yet it packed a punch,” was how the fans summed up the trailer.
The new trailer of ‘Race Gurram’ is not the one which was unveiled at the audio launch of the film a fortnight ago. With Brahmanandam, Ali and MS Narayana making their presence felt in the new version, what exactly prompted the makers to cut a new trailer at the last minute?
As is the norm these days, the audio launch of a film will also witness the theatrical trailer unveiled and it was no different with Allu Arjun-starrer ‘Race Gurram’s audio ceremony held ten days ago in Hyderabad. The audio event, which went on with much pomp and show, had Megastar-turned-politician Chiranjeevi in attendance. Unveiling the trailer, Pawan Kalyan’s friend and ‘Gabbar Singh 2’ producer, Sharat Marar went gung-go about Bunny’s energy.
The Stylish Star’s fans too loved the trailer. “It isn’t like a regular trailer, yet it packed a punch,” was how the fans summed up the trailer. Though the trailer, predominantly on the lines of action, required some unfinished technical work to attend, it wasn’t released to the media as is the usual practice. While fans who couldn’t make it to the launch were unhappy for not getting an opportunity to catch the trailer online, the media was told the trailer would be mailed across the next day, but it didn’t happen until Saturday. How come?
Points out a source, “Although there were some technical glitches with the trailer at the audio launch, it wasn’t endorsed by Chiru and Allu families as they felt that it required some comic visuals. They were keen that ‘Race Gurram’ sets the tempo from the word go, and did not want to take any chances as Bunny’s last film, ‘Iddarammayilatho’, failed to meet expectations. They put it across to producer Nallamalupu Bujji who seemed more than happy to heed to it. The resultant trailer, which retained the soul of the original, had more dosages of comedy and received more applause than the first one. Since it required a go head from Regional Censor Board, it was delayed.”
Producer Bujji said, “We released the wrong trailer at the audio ceremony as we were in a rush. The new trailer was the one we had originally planned to release and it has nothing to do with the feedback from anyone.” Well, a slip-up at such an important promotional event of a film, which was wrapped up almost a month back? Sounds interesting!
