Parents from middle class families are gearing up to encounter the scary school fee structures of their children.

The season has begun for educational institutes to impose heavy tax on parents regardless of their affordability. Educating their children still remains a hard nut to crack with their mind engulfed with enigmatic puzzles of tackling their family problems coupled with the challenges thrown at them by the so called education systems.
Great seers of this land have felt that our country started deteriorating in all the ways from the day people of this country resorted to selling of Anna [food], Vidya [education], and Aoushada [medicine]. Pupils of olden days would get trained at gurukuls and they were taught under a tree with no fee structure scaring them. Only people who could afford would pay a guru dakshina out of their love for guru, but not on demand that too after the completion of course.
India which inherits great culture that is being looked up on by other countries with great reverence has to prove by resurrecting our old traditions with great values and provide free education to the children. Though we see a few spiritual organizations undertaking this venture, it should spread throughout the country without burdening the common man who is getting sandwiched between the harsh policies and financial burdens.
Many educational institutions are taking people for a ride in the name of fees and donations. All the Governments who have ruled so far have spent crores of rupees on various projects should have provided subsidies to the needed educational institutes thereby helping them to resort to moderate fee structure.
The arrival of IT & BT in India has paved the way to the hike in prices of all commodities. It is yet to be ascertained whether food or any other goods for that matter falls short of supply thereby contributing to these price hikes. We read in the news papers that many Samaritans be it an IT giant or a Big Industrialist setting aside a part of their wealth to the upkeep of the human race, but we find no sign of it making its way to the schools and colleges who are mercilessly charging exorbitant fees right from the LKG level or even at the playgroup level. Our leaders have to ponder over these points and find out an amicable solution to this burning issue.
Last but not the least, people too should wake up to this issue and it is time to raise a hue and cry to draw the attention of our netas who have busied themselves in election manifestos.
