JUDA: Issue our Certificates, About 100 junior doctors staged a dharna in front of Directorate of Medical Education (DME) at Koti here on Wednesday.
Hyderabad: About 100 junior doctors staged a dharna in front of Directorate of Medical Education (DME) at Koti here on Wednesday. The agitating junior doctors said that their certificates were withheld despite the High Court orders to release the certificates. The agitating junior doctors threatened to jump off from the building if certificates were not issued immediately.
They said that director of medical education and principal secretary health had violated all norms to hold the certificates of over 3,000 students who graduated in 2013 and 2014. According to JUDA, the High Court in its order recently asked the government to release PG certificates of students. “On June 20, the High Court ordered the government to release the certificates; flouting court orders the government officials still withheld certificates. We gave several representations to the director of medical education, but nothing happened,” says, G Srinivas, president, JUDA OU.
According to sources in directorate of medical education, government did not receive any communication from High Court through a proper channel. Once they receive they would take a call on issuing the certificates to medicos.
