Hyderabad: With just one week remaining before D-Day, MIM is trying to reach out to maximum number of constituents, apart from its traditional strongholds.
While party chief Asaduddin Owaisi is focusing on the padayatra, his younger brother Akbaruddin is campaigning for other party nominees, apart from Chandrayangutta where he seeking re-election.
After beginning his padayatra at Jubilee Hills, where the party nominee is Naveen Yadav, Asaduddin climaxed it with a padayatra in Malakpet constituency on April 18.
Akbaruddin did likewise till April 15 and held public meetings to subsequently launch a ‘bike rally’ and a ‘road show’ in Nampally.
Asaduddin stressed on unity amongst Muslims and Dalits to end the supremacy of upper castes, while Akbaruddin tried to gain acceptance with his fiery speeches which centred on the threat perception of ‘Hinduvta’. “The days are not far when Muslim-Dalit unity will prevail over the overwhelming upper castes,” he said.
On the issue of development, Akbaruddin stressed the need for establishing a pharmaceuticals factory, which would be able to give commoners respite from costly medicines.
