As the journey of this show has started in 2005 September and running successfully year after year, all the participated designers received a positive response from city people. Recalling old days, Kamini said, “When we started off, there were no shows in our city where people can get to shop designer wear across the country under one roof. You can say we are pioneer that way.” Colourful ethnic ensembles and chic Indo-Westerns add to the festive and party flavour by designer creations by Aartivijay Gupta, Myoho, Natasha J, Lila, Lachesis, Rosetree, Jannath Couture, Sonia K Mahajan, Zebaish, Monica Bhayanna, Silk Worm, Trupsel, Frangipani, Lotus Sutra, Zuilee, Ruceru, Jajoba, Preeti Chandra, Shrishti Latha Puttanna, Shobhit Kasera, Neha Agarwal, Threads by Rita Bajaj, Divya Sheth, Amaya Apparels, Swanamra, Nazar by Indu Abbot, Magic, Aveeha, Mahe Ayyappan, Alok Baid, Brij, Krati Jain, K Clothing, Gaurav Katta, Meghna Cherukuri and Minttu N Breeze Sarna etc.
Such kind of initiative is not only offering new collection to shoppers, it has become a useful platform for new age designers as well. “Among 65 stalls, we have kept 20-22 stalls for new designers only. Since we maintain a designer’s data base where 20 designers are showcasing their work constantly with us, 25 designers are shuffling with time and rest of them are new, we have created a two way fashion communication between buyers and designers,” said Kamini.
Kumari Chandni Singh, the designer of Rose Tree who specialises in organic cotton and sharara, spoke about her collection. “This collection is based on vibrant colours like green, red, yellow, keeping the festival of Diwali and Karwa Chauth in mind. I have used gota, moti and other handmade elements for embroidery. Our range starts from Rs 6,500 and goes up depending on the work and quality of the dress material. ” She delightfully added, “We are getting fabulous response”.
The stall owner of Navya shared, “In our Diwali collection, a whole range of ghera suits come in vibrant colours, we have used chiffon and georgette. These ghera suits that are embellished with appliqué, shibori and zari works can be teamed up with nice dupattas.” She also added, “We have a special option for our consumers; for people who do not like appliqué work we have a full embroided dupatta for them. I am glad to be a part of this show as Hyderabadi people are really fashionable; they appreciate my collection whenever I have come to city.”
