Benjamin was moved by the news of rapes in India and delved into the rape and trafficking statistics. He said that a women is sexually assaulted every 2 minutes in the USA, raped every 22 minutes in India; 1 out of every 17 women is a rape victim in Canada and 1 in 5 has experienced some sort of sexual violence since the age of 16 in the UK.

Reggie Benjamin's brainchild 'Mission Save Her' was created to help bring about awareness against gang rape and human trafficking all over the world. Several Hollywood Celebs joined hands with Mission Save Her to accomplish this onerous task.A song 'Save Her', which created waves and won acclaim across the globe, was the precursor to the Mission. Reggie Benjamin who wrote and produced the song reached out to celebrity friends, including childhood pal and Grammy-nominated musician Eric Benet, to help him on his mission to lower these statistics and make the world a safer place for women to live in.
