Later, he started career as a teacher. While working as a teacher, he used to support his colleagues, weaker and down-trodden sections according to his capacity. Not satisfied with the teaching career and to serve society, Dr Satyanarayana resigned from teacher’s job in 2001 and plunged into politics. He joined Telugu Rashtra Samiti (TRS) party, which was floated by K Chandrashekar Rao at Jaladrussyam in Hyderabad, to resist the injustice being done to the Telangana region and also to end the discrimination and exploitation of the people from the region.

Finding the TRS as the right forum to express his views and ideology, he joined the TRS and worked in the outfit at various levels. He is continuing his journey with the TRS. He worked as the TRS commercial division president, TRS state unit secretary and LB Nagar Assembly constituency in charge. He worked in various capacities in the by-elections held so far. While KCR led the movement for Telangana in 2009, the person who breathed life into the movement and the person who groomed his constituency as a replica of the movement was none other than Dr Satyanarayana, whose efforts were lauded by one and all.

As the youth are the future of the country and its security depended on them, he donated play equipment to the NCC students of ZPHS at Angola to help improve their physical fitness. As he was well aware of the fact that country is home to several faiths and Telangana is the birthplace of communal harmony, he organized Iftar parties not only in Hyderabad but also across the State.

He floated the Telangana Federation of Trade Unions as the workers formed the backbone of the country. He brought them under one umbrella and fulfilled their needs and solved their problems. When the Movement for Statehood to Telangana was at its peak, he was disturbed at the loss of lives. He felt that it was not sufficient if he were to fight for statehood alone. He felt that everyone should know about human values. He joined International Human Rights Associations (IHRA) and conducted discussions on human rights and sensitised people on human rights.

As India is a democratic and secular country, he wanted everyone to know activities of the country. Therefore, he floated Samachara Hakku Vikasa Samiti and he was the founder honorary president of the samiti. He arranged awareness programmes on right to information with the help of renowned RTI activists and RTI commissioners. In recognition of his activities of sensitising people on various issues, creating social awareness among the people through the Kacham Foundation, the Peace University of the USA honoured him with an honorary doctorate.

As a person of commitment for Telangana and language of the land, to preserve the dialect of the land and Telangana literature, he started Kacham Publications.
