Sama alleges misuse of ` 80 lakh funds

Mansoorabad: Demanding diversion of drainage water to the tank, TDP senior leader Sama Ranga Reddy along with party cadre inspected Mansoorabad Pedda Cheruvu on Sunday. He alleged that though six acres of the tank has been encroached by land grabbers, the revenue officials were least bothered about it.

He criticised them for misusing funds to the tune of Rs 80 lakh for walking track at the tank. The track got damaged in the rains due to improper and poor quality of construction. He also demanded that the authorities launch the beautification of the tank initiative at a cost of Rs 7 crore which was promised earlier. He warned to start protest programme with local residents if the demands were not met.
