Modern crematorium inaugurated

Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the Mahaprasthanam Electric Crematorium, an eco-friendly modern crematorium, near Whisper Valley in Jubilee Hills on Monday. The crematorium was jointly taken up by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Phoenix Foundation under \'Fund Your City Programme\' initiated by the civic body.
Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the Mahaprasthanam Electric Crematorium, an eco-friendly modern crematorium, near Whisper Valley in Jubilee Hills on Monday. The crematorium was jointly taken up by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Phoenix Foundation under 'Fund Your City Programme' initiated by the civic body.
The crematorium has been built up with a cost of Rs 3 crore. GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar said that the corporation was planning to build 50 similar crematoriums in the city. The designs have been prepared and tendering process is underway. Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy appreciated the work.
