Devotees throng Hanuman temple at Kondagattu

Karimnagar: Large number of Hanuman devotees on Sunday thronged ancient and historic Sri Anjaneya Swamy Devasthanam in Kondagattu of Mallial mandal in Karimnagar district on the first day of Hanuman Jayanthi celebrations.

Special pujas and rituals were performed and the temple was decorated with colourful lights and flowers. The temple premises reverberated with the chanting of 'Jai Hanuman'.

Though the temple authorities and police had made elaborate arrangements for the devotees, the facilities were not adequate to meet the needs of the huge crowds. The celebrations would continue till June 4. Due to lack of initiative by the temple authorities, adequate facilities could not be provided for the devotees.
