Kurnool: Taking a cue from the TJAC's Sadak Bandh, Rayalaseema Rashtra Samiti (RRS) has given a call to stage Rayalaseema Polikeka demanding creation of separate greater Rayalaseema State. Disclosing the details to media men in Kurnool on Friday, RRS president Kuncham Venkata Subba Reddy said Rayalaseema Polikeka demonstration would be held at Tungabhadra checkpost, the threshold of Kurnool, on March 30. He appealed to all political parties irrespective of their affiliations to take part in the proposed protest. He lamented Rayalaseema was meted out injustice since the State capital was shifted from Kurnool to Hyderabad. Venkata Subba Reddy opined that Rayalaseema would witness development only in the separate State. He added jobless would get jobs and water would be shared equally if Rayalaseema State was carved out. He warned of dire consequences if anyone tried to foil Rayalaseema Polikeka.
