Kurnool: In support of the Save Andhra Pradesh meeting organised by APNGOs at Hyderabad, massive rallies and dharnas and rasta rokos were observed here on Saturday. More than 20,000 NGOs left for Hyderabad, it is estimated.
Women belonging to Teachers JAC and Eye Hospital in the city have organised protest demonstrations on the 39th day Saturday demanding the withdrawal of the decision to divide the state. Girl students of Kurnool have taken out a massive rally at Kondareddy Buruju expressing solidarity with the APNGOs Save Andhra Pradesh meeting at Hyderabad. They had also organised cultural programmes at Telugu Talli statue for the success of the meeting at Hyderabad.
Stating that UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi has no right to divide the state, they raised slogans against her. The traffic has come to standstill at Kondareddy Buruju which reverberated with the slogans of Jai Samikyandhra. A number of rallies have been taken out here in protest against the attacks on Seemandhra employees by Telangana activists.
Students of SC, ST, BC, Minorities worshipped Lord Venkateswara Swamy with 101 coconuts appealing him to give good sense to the Telangana activists. They also appealed to the god to protect the employees while returning home.
The relay hunger strike launched by the advocates has entered 38th day.
