Kurnool: Minister for Minor Irrigation TG Venkatesh said here on Monday that a massive programme would be undertaken in Delhi with one lakh traders to represent the people’s view on united Andhra Pradesh to the Central government.Addressing the newsmen at Mourya Inn hotel here, the minister extended his cooperation to the three-day relay hunger strike to be organised with the students’ joint action committee of six universities in Rayalaseema in October. He also said that a meeting under the aegis of student JAC would be organised on Setpember 22 here.

The minister said that final decision would be taken on Delhi programme after consulting with his Cabinet colleagues and the leaders of JAC.Referring to the allegations that he did not get his resignation accepted, the minister said that only on the advice of the joint action committee he was yet to get it accepted. “If the JAC wants it, I would immediately get the resignation accepted.

On the attack on him, the minister said that there were no teachers in the attack on his convoy. “It was the handiwork of some unwanted elements,” he stated.The minister reiterated that it was Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy who had encouraged TRS. The Congress CWC has taken the decision to divide the state after the opposition parties submitted letters in favour of the division, the minister added.

On the demand of YSR Congress leader SV Mohan Reddy to get the resignation accepted, the YSR Congress leader should get the resignation of his sister accepted first. YSR Congress could not simply get away by stating that it had given a letter in support of united Andhra Pradesh, the minister said and demanded that it should release the letter to the public.
