The Hyderabad High Court stayed the recruitment of junior panchayat secretary following a petition filed by B Harish Kumar and others on Wednesday alleging the recruitment process is being held against the rules.

The petitioner alleged that the government has published the results without the release of the final key. Harish along with a few others stated that the several objections were raised against the primary key and the final has repeated hall ticket numbers.

"There is no clarification on the number of posts and the cut-off," said Harish's counsel to the court. Though there is regulation of not exceeding reservation by 50 per cent, the board has allocated 45 per cent reservation to general candidates and 55 per cent to reserved.

Hearing the arguments, the court stayed the recruitment process by directing the authorities from issuing appointment letters. The court also issued notices to Panchayat Raj chief secretary and other asking to file a counter petition.
