Kadapa: In view of increasing road accidents in the district, Road Transport Authorities, Police Department have organized motor cycle rally with the association of proddaturu based Chaitnya Bharity Institute of Technology (CBIT) to create awareness in the public over the necessary of wearing helmet in Proddaturu town on Saturday. About 600 students of (CBIT) have participated in the event.

The rally which started from Rameswaram proceed via state bank, Gandhi road, Rajiv circle and concluded at Sivalayam center. Speaking the occasion Deputy Transport Commissioner M.Basi Reddy has analyzed that as many as 470 people were died 1058 total road accidents occurred in 2018 year. Apart from 116 were killed only because of not wearing helmets.

Proddaturu DSP K.Srinivasa Rao said that police and RTA is ensuring steps in reducing the accidental rate by several campaigns over the necessary of wearing helmets. He urged the public should strictly follow the traffic rules especially wearing helmet while driving the vehicles. CBIT chairman K.Jayachandra Reddy and others were present.
